Common questions

Answers to the usual ones

Where do my converted files go?

They’re saved to the Files app under Convertly, and shown in the app’s Files tab. Tap Share on the result screen to send one anywhere.

Why can’t I export MP3?

iPhones can play MP3 files but cannot create them — Apple provides no MP3 encoder, so no app can. Convertly saves audio as M4A/AAC, which is the same quality or better.

Why won’t my video open?

A few formats (MKV, WebM, WMV, FLV) can’t be decoded on iOS at all. Most MP4 and MOV files work. The app tells you clearly rather than failing quietly.

Does the Word to PDF keep my layout?

It keeps text, paragraphs, bold and headings. It doesn’t reproduce images, tables or exact fonts — iOS has no way to render Word faithfully on device. The result screen says so plainly.

Is my data private?

Yes. Convertly has no account, no server and no analytics. Every conversion runs on your device and your files never leave your phone.
